It was in June 1982 when we gave birth to the Little Stars Kindergarten School as a non-sectarian, owned and administered by spouses Brigido and Carmelita Gongora, the house for Nursery, Kindergarten and Preparatory pupils of the community in Taguig, Metro Manila. Surprisely, a total of twenty five (25) pupils enrolled in three different levels. The first school building was located at General Luna Street, Tuktukan, Taguig, Metro Manila.
After ten (10) years of operation in Preschool, parents clamored for an expansion, so we decided to open Grade School (I-IV) for school year 1993-1994, thus the Little Star Kindergarten School was renamed Little Stars Academy. Expansion did not stop there, we started to introduce First Year Highschool for SY 1994-1995. And from Little Stars Academy the final name of the school is Academia de San Bartolome de Taguig which was named after the Patron Saint of Barangay Tuktukan, Taguig, Metro Manila.
Finally, a permanent school building was constructed in 1994 along Mariano Santos Street, Tuktukan, Taguig in order to accomodate the growing population.
The School was likewise given a government permit for Pre-School and Grade I to V for School Year 1996-1997 in September 27, 1996. Again, for Preschool and Complete Elementary Course (Grades I to VI) permit for highschool for two (2) consecutive School Year 1997-1998 and 1998-1999.
We were able to experience the first graduation in Grade VI last SY 1995-1996 with the total number of 13 pupils. For School Year 1997-1998, the first graduation in Fourth Year with the total number of 47 students.
For School Year 1999-2000 and onwards, Academia de San Bartolome de Taguig is now a Catholic Institution where all activities in and out of the classrooms imbued with catholic principles and ideals, under the administration of the Archdiocese of Manila.
